Wendy Pechacek, the head of Trinity Christian Academy.

A Brief History

In 1991, Wendy Pechacek, a young recently-qualified teacher, moved from South Africa to Dallas, Texas to nanny for 18 months. God had other plans!

The second family she worked for became her life-long family and she lived with them for 15 years. When the mom of that family no longer needed her to nanny, they invited her to stay in their home. She started her teaching career at a classical Christian school in Dallas, where she taught art to Grades 1-4, and enrichment classes to 4-5 year-olds. Her position at school grew over the next three years.

In 1997 she was given the vision that one day she would start or lead a Christian school. She moved back to South Africa for three years and taught in a school for special needs children.

She had the opportunity to help start a school in the Dallas area in 2000. With her original vision in mind, she was encouraged to obtain her Masters in Educational Administration which she achieved in 2005. She gained significant experience in the class and in leadership positions at a large Christian school in Plano, Texas where she taught for seven years.

In 2008 she married the man of her dreams and two years later God moved them to the St Louis area. Within a few months of moving, her husband (and one third of his company) lost their jobs, but they still believe that God brought them to the area for a reason… We believe Trinity Christian Academy is the reason!

TCA started in 2014 with three students and one teacher. We hired an additional teacher and started the 2015-2016 school year with 12 students and ended with 19. At the start of the 2016-2017 year we moved to a larger building and saw growth to 49 students and seven teachers. What will God do for the 2017-2018 school year when we will reach the needs of students from Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 8? Would you like to be part of our exciting growing community?
